School of Business is the earliest established arts department in Xia Men University of Technology (XMUT), which was built in 1981. We attended to training the commercial elites with international concepts, national spirit, special abilities and native cultures, also, focused on training the professional talents with international competition and industry orientation in economics and management.

In School of Business, there are three concentrations: E-commerce Business, International Business and Financial Management. It also has three research institutes, a Fujian non fiction research base and a key disciplinary area: Credit Institute; Fujian-Taiwan Finance Development Institute; Fujian Merchants and Family Enterprises Institute; E-commerce Business Research Center and “E-commerce Business” key disciplinary area.

Undergraduate Majors in School of Business: E-commerce, International Business and Financial Management. College Degrees: Accounting and International Trade Practice. There are nearly 2000 vgmllas till now. In addition, major Financial Management (Money Management) has run ‘3+1’ joint undergraduate degree program with Taiwan Ming Chuan University. All the majors have run ‘2+2’joint undergraduate degree programs with University of Hull, UK, etc.. (The students can study in and abroad for each two years and could get Chinese and Canadian or British combined degrees at the same time.)

The School of Business has the teaching staff, which is rich in teaching experience, and has a rational echelon. Among this, the senior titles accounted for more than 50%, teachers who have master or doctoral degrees accounted for more than 86%. In addition, there are many part-time teachers composed by experts from governments, large and medium-sized enterprises senior managers and foreign teachers, who have rich experience in practice and a very high level in specialized knowledge.

The School of Business insists on the idea of ‘Face the reality, Service the society’, we pay much attention to the combination of theory teaching and practical teaching, and also pay attention to fostering the pro industry applied talents.

The School of Business has excellent conditions for running schools. For example the Ministry of Finance and the local governments establish the business comprehensive training center, National University of electronic business and Joint Laboratory of Xiamen University of Technology also has the economic comprehensive laboratory, the accounting simulated laboratory, securities simulated laboratory and others, totally 15 laboratories and a well-appointed multimedia teaching system. In addition, there still a school-enterprise cooperation training base for our students to enhance their application knowledge ability.

We have established an idea of " S’entendre au commerce, Integrity, Civility, Charity". The students of school of business come from all corners of the country, and have received a rigorous training of having a good temperament, good character and strong ability. All of theses have laid a solid foundation for them to adapt to the future diversity career.

In recent years, school of business has gained many awards in the discipline competitions or other aspects given by the nation, province, city and university. Moreover, there are a lot of advanced collective have gained the awards of Civilized class, Star league branch, especially the award of “National Advanced Collective”.

School of business has supplied more than 5000 advance applied talents, and the one-time employment rate of graduates are maintained over 90%. Most graduators are distributed in the government’s functional departments, all kinds of financial institutions, foreign trade companies, export-oriented industries, financial companies, and some others choose tocarve a career independently, do graduate study or study abroad.
