管理科学与工程学院成立于2006年12月,起源于成立于1984年中央财经大学历史上成立的第四个专业系——基建经济系,是在投资学、工程管理、项目管理、房地产管理、管理科学等专业的基础上发展起来的,具有相互交叉和相互支撑的教学与科研体系。紧密依托学校背景,学院已形成鲜明的特色和优势。

学院下设投资系、城市与房地产管理系、管理科学系、项目管理系和工程管理系;拥有投资项目管理中心、管理科学研究所、房地产研究所、城市经济研究所和私募股权投资研究所五个研究机构。

学院形成了以全日制大学本科、硕士、博士教育为主,辅修专业教育、在职硕士学位课程班教育、国内外联合办学为辅的多层次、多渠道办学体系,为国家建设和社会发展培养了一批的复合型高级经济管理人才。拥有投资学、房地产经营与管理、工程管理、项目管理、管理科学五个本科专业;管理科学与工程、投资学、工程与项目管理、房地产经济与管理四个硕士点;一个投资学博士点。

学院现有教职工40余人,其中教授12人,副教授17人;具有博士学位者30人,占专任教师的比例近86%。多数教师具有海外访学经历。学院教师学源结构呈现多元化的特点,分别来自清华大学、北京大学等国内顶尖大学和美国、加拿大和欧洲的一流高校。5年来本院教师共承担多项国家自然科学基金、国家社科基金和省部级课题多项,出版了10部学术专著,产生了较好的经济效益和社会效益。

学院坚持国际化办学理念,积极开展国际学术交流与合作。与美国史蒂文斯理工学院等大学联合培养研究生。聘请一批国内外知名学者来校访问、讲学。每年派出教师、科研人员到国外留学、访问和参加国际学术会议,5年来教师参加国际学术会议135次。

学院一直把教学质量视为生命线,紧紧围绕本科和研究生人才培养目标,坚持不懈地推进各项改革、建设和管理,取得了显著的成效。投资学、工程管理、项目管理、房地产经营管理、管理科学等专业自先后开办以来,一直坚持“宽口径、厚基础、强技能、高素质”的人才培养目标,努力培养“适应性广并具有专业特长”的应用型人才。通过构建“模块化课程和限选任选选课制度”的柔性课程体系,有效地解决了跨专业、跨学院课程与内容设置的难题。强化课内外一体化的实验和实践教学,注重素质教育,构建了具有财经特色、融科学素养和人文精神为一体的文化素质教育课程体系。实行创新学分制度、主辅修制度、转专业制度、交换生制度等,鼓励学生发展特长与个性。聘请工程、管理等领域的专家担任校外研究生导师。重视人才培养基地建设,为学生提供实习实训机会。

从历年学生反馈和社会综合反映来看,毕业生思想道德素质高,综合素质强,专业知识扎实。近五年本科生每年平均出国和考研率稳中有升,其中2011年和2012年平均出国和考研率分别为48.84%和61.15%,连续五年就业率一直保持在96%以上;学院毕业生培养质量高,得到了银行、证券、投资、房地产、咨询公司等机构和政府管理部门的认可与社会各相关机构的一致好评。截止到2012年9月,我院在校学生总数为877人,其中本科生777人,全日制研究生100人。

School of Management Science and Engineering

School of Management Science and Engineering traces its roots to Department of Capital Construction Economics created in 1984, the 4th department ever created in the history of CUFE. In 1992, Department of Capital Construction Economics was renamed as Department of Investment Economics and Management, which in turn was renamed as Department of Investment Economics in December 1993. In May 2006, the university decided to develop Department of Investment Economics into School of Management Engineering. In December 2006, the school was officially renamed as School of Management Science and Engineering.

The school currently has five teaching units including Department of Investment, Department of Urban and Real Estate Management and Department of Project Management, Department of Engineering Management, Department of Management Science, five research organizations including the Center for Investment and Project Management, Management Science Institute, Real Estate Institute, Urban Economy Institute and Private Equity Institute, and three supporting bodies including Student Services Office, Reference Room and Administrative Office.

The school has 40 people on its teaching and administrative staff, among whom 35 are full-time faculty members and 5 supporting staffers. With 30 being doctoral degree holders, the faculty members include 12 full professors, 17 associate professors and 14 assistant professors. Among the universities from which the faculty members have received their doctoral degrees are the leading universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Chinese Academy of Science, Nankai University and Harbin Institute of Technology. Over the past years, while developing a multi-leveled, multi-channeled educational system which is centered on fulltime bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and doctoral degree programs and complemented with minor programs, on-the-job master’s degree course program and joint programs with foreign universities, School of Management Science and Engineering has produced a great number of multi-skilled economic and management talents. The school currently offers four undergraduate programs in Investment, Real Estate Management, Engineering Management and Project Management, four master’s degree programs in Investment, Project Management, Technological Economics and Management and Real Estate, and one doctoral degree program in Investment. In recent years, the school has made efforts to promote educational and research exchanges with foreign institutions.

With the successful launching of the master’s degree program in project management jointly run with Stevens Institute of Technology (New Jersey, USA), the school has sent several faculty members to the United States and Europe to do researches as exchange scholars or visiting scholars, which keeps the school academically close to leading foreign universities and research institute.
